If I turn around, I do not know anyone who really uses anything besides Windows on their desktop/laptop machines.

What will be your/your friend’s next desktop system?

Those “statements” usually follow each new version of Windows operating system.

So, Microsoft will eventually die, but that won’t happen anytime soon, even in human scale – look on IBM for possible future of Microsoft.

  2. Microsoft Vista will not be my next desktop system, that’s for sure. Think I’m ready for something realy “stronger” and “superior”!
FreeBSD/DesktopBSD will be good for starting.
